About these units
Hundred (100)
One hundred.
The English word hundred descends from Old English hundred and, further back, from a Proto-Germanic compound that joined the old root for 100 with a word meaning count or row. For much of history it did not always mean 100. Old Norse counted large numbers in twelves of tens, and medieval England used a long hundred of 120 beside the short hundred of 100. Around 1300 the Assize of Weights and Measures had both in play: a hundred kippers or a hundred ells of hemp canvas or linen meant 120, while a hundred fresh herring meant 100.
The word also named a historical subdivision of southern English counties, notionally 12,000 acres. Today a hundred is simply ten tens, five score, or a tenth of a thousand, and the SI prefix hecto stands for 10². The long hundred faded as Arabic numerals, which rely on base 10, spread from the 14th century onward.
1 hundred = 100 pieces (exactly).

Crore (crore)
Ten million (10⁷), or one hundred lakh. Written 1,00,00,000 in the Indian numbering system.
Sanskrit had separate words for most powers of ten from 100 up to 10 to the 19th. The crore comes from one of them: the Prakrit kroḍi, which derives from the Sanskrit koṭi, and in Hindi and Urdu it is karoṛ. In Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam the cognate is kōṭi. Outside South Asia, koṭi travelled mostly through Buddhist texts, and in Indonesian and Malay keti means 100,000, a lakh, instead of ten million.
A crore is 100 lakh, or 10,000,000, and is written 1,00,00,000 in Indian grouping. It is the natural unit for large sums of money in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, so 150,000,000 rupees is 15 crore rupees. For amounts in the trillions, the system's next named units, arab and kharab, are rarely used, so people say lakh crore for 10 to the 12th. Nepal and Sri Lanka both used the system in the past but have moved to international numbering in recent years.
1 crore = 10,000,000 pieces (exactly).
